BSC & VRS
Bend Stiffener & Flexible Installation Systems
Our patented BSC (Bend Stiffener Connector) is a Bend Stiffener installation system that enables interventionless (no diver or ROV), simple and reliable installation at the subsea end of the offshore facility. Integrated with our patented VRS (S3NVentus Release System) it ensures full-strength winch connection of the Bend Stiffener until the BSC is connected, when it separates the topside components without interupting the flexible installation.

Emergency Release Systems for Cables and Bend Stiffeners
Our patented, compact emergency release systems enable controlled or emergency release of Cables from renewable energy facilities such as Floating Offshore Wind platforms. This helps minimise infrastructure damage in extreme conditions. The TER (Topside Emergency Release) and SER (Signal-controlled Emergency Release) systems release the Cable under controlled maximum load or environmental conditions. The release of the Cable triggers the ERA (Emergency Release Adapter) to release the Bend Stiffener.

S3NVentus designs and manufactures an extensive range of industry standard and bespoke products for high, medium and low-pressure hydraulic control, intervention, monitoring and fluid transfer. Pressure rated up to 20 000psi, these can be manufactured in standard and exotic materials including 316L, Duplex, Super Duplex and Inconel 625.
